So who is he really? Aside from his adultery and perversion, what is his lineage?

Rhodesia (Rhodes) , a former British settler state in southern Africa, became internationally known for its system of white minority rule after declaring unilateral independence in 1965. A small European population controlled the government, land, and key industries while the Black majority had little political power. The regime faced growing international sanctions and internal resistance, eventually leading to a prolonged liberation war that ended with the creation of Zimbabwe in 1980.

The country’s name derived from Cecil Rhodes, the British mining magnate and imperialist whose ambitions helped drive colonial expansion across southern Africa. Rhodes promoted British dominance and helped establish systems that concentrated land and wealth in the hands of settlers while displacing indigenous populations. His legacy has since become closely associated with the excesses of imperial ambition and racial hierarchy embedded in colonial rule. (Slavers)

Members of the broader Rhodes family remained tied to the region for generations, including Deryk Rhodes, a descendant of Cecil Rhodes through his uncle’s family line. During the political upheaval and transition away from white minority rule, individuals associated with the old colonial elite—including members of the Rhodes lineage—lost influence and, in some cases, were forced to leave the country. Deryk Rhodes was among those exiled from Rhodesia during that turbulent period - the Bush War.

Legal Issues:

A civil lawsuit was filed in 2019 in the Circuit Court of the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit in Palm Beach County, Florida by attorney William Millsaps, individually and on behalf of his minor children, against Deryk Rhodes and Anastasia Rhodes. The complaint alleged that the defendants interfered with Millsaps’ parental relationship with his children and participated in actions related to the relocation of the children outside of Florida during Millsaps’ marital separation. The suit sought damages exceeding $15,000 and asserted several causes of action, including intentional infliction of emotional distress, interference with parental rights, civil conspiracy, fraud, and tortious interference with a reconciliation agreement between Millsaps and his then-wife.

In the complaint, Millsaps alleged that Deryk Rhodes held strong evangelical beliefs and claimed that God spoke directly to him, and that Rhodes used those beliefs while allegedly discouraging contact between Millsaps and his children and participating in actions that Millsaps claimed alienated the children from their father.

According to the allegations in the complaint, Millsaps claimed that the Rhodes family helped his wife move the children out of Florida in 2014–2015 without his knowledge or consent and later prevented the children from communicating with him. The filing further alleged that the defendants concealed the children’s whereabouts, discouraged contact with their father, and participated in a plan that allegedly led Millsaps to believe the children would return to Florida while they were instead being relocated. The complaint also asserted that the defendants interfered with a written reconciliation agreement between Millsaps and his wife that contemplated efforts to reunite the family.

The complaint additionally alleged that these actions caused emotional distress, damaged the parent-child relationship, and contributed to Millsaps having to pursue divorce proceedings in another state. It claimed that the defendants’ conduct resulted in economic harm and disruption to the children’s schooling, community ties, and relationship with their father. The case, however, did not result in a judicial determination on the merits; the plaintiff later voluntarily dismissed the lawsuit, and no court finding of liability was made against the defendants.
